our doggo, Spud, is rarely seen without "blue harold". it took about a month after he got his first blue harold, before he really started to notice him. we move his toys around a bit on his toy shelf, to keep him interested in them, and we noticed that he now always had blue harold nearby. Our boy is still growing out of his biting stage and he uses blue harold to stop himself from biting, we just ask "where's blue harold" and 9 out of 10 times thats enough to change his attention.
he's a big dog and they last him a good long time. our trouble is that he knows when the new blue harold has arrived, and he's desperate to open the package, so he gets a new blue harold, but is still unwilling to let go of old blue harold. we now have 4 blue harolds and on any given day, a very precise one will be his favourite that day. He also has a green harold, he has accommodated green harold into his rotation of harolds. Its not that he wont play with other toys, he's very engaged with toys and getting us to play with them and him, but blue harold has a special place in his life.
Spud has been very unwell lately and had to be confined to a crate to recover from surgery. he choses these toys to take in with him (pic).
terrific toy!
